Legend tells us that dreamcatchers were created based on the following story: A woman in her home watched a spider spin a web. When her son came to visit, he offered to kill the spider, but the woman stopped him, saying that it was welcome. When the son left, the spider spoke aloud, thanking the woman for sparing its life. As a gift, the spider taught the woman to spin a web, which then became the basis for the dreamcatcher. It should be hung near the bed and will attract all dreams, trapping the bad ones in the web while letting the good ones pass through to the sleeping person. In the morning light, all the bad dreams will be burned off. Decorated with amethyst beads, this dreamcatcher also offers healing powers. Dimensions: Diameter 9" (22 cm), 18" (44 cm) total length.
