Mohawk Pottery (Pottery & Glassware)
Mohawk Pottery For thousands of years, the Mohawk crafted pottery for practical and cermonial purposes. The tradition was lost after the arrival of the Europeans, who brought with them metal pots and tools. Less than 100 years ago, the techniques and designs were rediscovered and reprised, resulting in the crafting of pots as pieces of art. This piece measures 2 1/2" in diameter at the base, and 2 1/2" high (6.25 cm x 6.25 cm).
